Sisters . Manhattan Beach family photographer

These sisters don't let 2500 miles keep them apart... not only are they sisters, but good friends.  This past week, Karen and her family traveled west for a fun week at the beach with Jill and her family.  Between the 2 families, they have 4 boys, and 1 girl.  We had a great time, and even wrapped up this session with surf board cookies from Becker's Bakery.

Visit to the American Museum of Ceramic Art . Los Angeles children's photographer

Today we went to visit the American Museum of Ceramic Art in Pomona.  Their current exhibit features Ah Leon's work, "Memories of Elementary School", and tea ware.  My girls were fascinated by the desks and chairs, made from only clay!!  The best part about the day is that the Curator and Director happens to be my mom, Christy Johnson, and of course, their grandma!  She is the best ceramic educator ever!

Christie + Doug . Redondo Beach engagement photographer

After 4 years of dating, Doug finally popped the question!  Cutest story EVER...he tied the ring around their cat's collar, and sent her down to greet Christie as she came in the door.  Of COURSE, she said yes!

Elliot + Collin . Manhattan Beach family photographer

What a bunch of cute boys ~ Elliot is 4, and Collin, 16 months old.  And if you want to know who runs the family, uh, that would be Collin.  He decided where everyone would stand, sit, run, and smile (or not).  I had fun chasing this one around, and then gathering the rest of the crew around him.  He is the king!  We enjoyed taking these photos at Valley Park in Hermosa Beach.

Zack + James . Rancho Palos Verdes twins photographer

Zack and James, what busy boys!  They are about a year old, and have clocked more miles than most grown men ~ thank goodness I wore my running shoes!  What an adorable family ~ thanks for such a fun day.

Jack + Cole . Manhattan Beach family photographer

Last weekend I had a fundraiser-mini-session day.  My younger sister, Abby, has a dear childhood friend that was diagnosed several years ago with Multiple Sclerosis.  Ever since that day, Abby has made it her mission to help find a cure.  She has participated in the MS Challenge Walk in San Diego for 7 years now, and has raised thousands and thousands of dollars for the cause.
What a wonderful day, all around.

Kelly, Madeline, Cameron + Jake . Palos Verdes Estates children's photographer

I met this gorgeous family early at the Malaga Cove Library... along with a very loud peacock.  The kids burst into laughter every time the he squawked ~ I didn't have to work too hard to get a smile out of them.  Instant entertainment!
